VOOMQUEST’s first effort to take their powerboat championship oversees brought them to the seaside town of Chioggia, Venice Italy. The Grand Prix of Italy Trofeo Citta di Chioggia had a fantastic follow up to its first day with a testing session followed by the second race of the weekend.

The VQ003 line-up included entries from France, Belgium, Corsica as well as three teams from Malta. Today’s race witnessed 5 teams battle it out with Team Freccia Blu (Beppe Debono and Dustin Mifsud) coming in first, Team Cutting Edge (Steve Bezzina and Michael Abela) following closely behind in 2nd place, Team Marine Diffusion (Dominique Martini and Jean Luc Martini), and Team No Comment (Francis Notschaele and Sam Howes) followed. Team Atomic & Grey (Benjamin Van Riet and Robbe Van Riet) did not make it to the finish line as the boat flipped during the last lap of the race. Team Interceptor Remax (Michael Xuereb and Jonathan Aquilina) did not make it to the second race due to a flip during yesterday’s first race.

This marks the third VOOMQUEST Enemed event for the ‘Lifestyle on Edge’ brand, having previously organized two Grand Prix’s earlier this year in Malta. Now solely under the leadership of the Managing Director of Chaudron and 5-time UIM World Powerboat Champion, Aaron Ciantar, The Grand Prix of Italy Trofeo ‘Citta di Chioggia’ promises to be a memorable weekend.
